Bachelor’s Greer Blitzer Apologizes for Past ‘Offensive’ Tweets
The Bachelor contestant Greer Blitzer has apologized for earlier “offensive” tweets in which she defended a significant school university student who wore Blackface.
“The journey to enjoy is filled with lessons and these lessons are also built on our journey of advancement,” the time 27 solid member, 24, wrote by way of her Instagram Tales on Tuesday, January 24. “In my past, I have designed some uneducated, ignorant and frankly wrong comments on my social media accounts. In unique, in 2016, I used misguided arguments on Twitter to protect a pupil who dressed in Blackface as Tupac for Halloween.”
The clinical gross sales rep apologized to “those in just the Black neighborhood,” assuring that her remorseful concept wasn’t simply due to the fact she was having called out online for her earlier statements but due to the fact she “shared all those hazardous viewpoints at all.”
“Time and age do not excuse my steps, but this is not a reflection of who I am currently,” the Texas indigenous continued. “I do not stand by or condone the damaging thoughts and behaviors I shared in the course of that phase of my daily life and will for good regret making all those offensive remarks.”
Greer’s earlier tweets about the Lamar Superior College university student sporting Blackface at an off-campus social gathering, which became a countrywide news story at the time, commenced circulating as she appeared on Zach Shallcross’ period of The Bachelor, which premiered on Monday, January 23.
“The pupils concerned did not even know what Blackface was so my point specifically.
