ARTICLE – Recently I was watching a How Ridiculous video on YouTube. If you’re not familiar with this channel, it’s three guys from Australia who video stunts that are, well, ridiculous. As you might expect, they often record their escapades with a slew of GoPro cameras. In a recent video, they mentioned how they configure all their GoPros at once to record a particular event. They go to this GitHub page and select the options they want; the page creates a corresponding QR code. They use each GoPro to take a picture of the QR code, which then self-configures to match the options selected. How cool (and convenient) is that! This feature is limited to certain models and requires a firmware update. I use an Insta360 X3 for my action camera needs, so I don’t have a GoPro to test this on.
