Say goodbye to Europe’s Ariane 5 rocket with these spectacular ultimate start shots
The most trustworthy rocket in Europe’s spaceflight historical past has sung its swan music.
The remaining launch of the Ariane 5 rocket took location on Wednesday (July 5) at 6 p.m. EDT (2200 GMT), from the European Room Agency’s (ESA’s) Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.

The two-stage rocket was designed by Airbus Defense and House, and managed by Arianespace for ESA and CNES, the French place company.

Now that Ariane 5 has shut out its start manifest, Europe is remaining with a gap in obtainable launch vehicles until finally the Ariane 6 is prepared.
