REVIEW- Everyone warns you that when you have a baby life changes. After the first baby, just expect that nothing will ever be normal again. I just wish I had had the Jartoo baby monitor for all my children. As an infant, there wasn’t a whole lot of need for more than a camera that looked at the sleeping baby. I now have 18 month old twin boys. I can’t even begin to count the shenanigans that these two are constantly getting into. From coloring all over the walls, to flinging poopy diapers at each other. They dump anything and everything they find, and I don’t even want to think about all the things they have put into the toilet. Life changes. I wouldn’t trade them, or any of my children for anything. Luckily, I feel like the Jartoo baby monitor gives me an extra set (or two) of eyes! It’s not just the toddlers either! I can place the camera outside and watch everyone jumping on the trampoline, or place it in the office to make sure no one is breaking the computer. I have even used the camera to watch our newborn kittens. I can move the camera and monitor to where it is needed. I may not be able to stop all the craziness in my house, but I have been able to prevent a fair share of what could have been.

Design and features
The Jartoo Baby Monitor is a 2k baby camera and monitor. This particular one came with one camera, but there are options to buy multiple cameras. The multiple camera setup works with the same monitor and can be watched as a split screen or rotate through different cameras. There is no need for wifi or difficult setups. The Jartoo baby monitor connects with extra security in place, extra long range, and hack-free for safety and peace of mind. No need to worry about neighbors being on the same frequency. Along with safety, it has a 3600 feet range that can make it through 5 walls and floors. Add to that, the internet doesn’t play a part, so you don’t have to make sure you have reception to keep an eye on your babies. For example, you could go camping and be sitting in the middle of nowhere with no reception, but still be able to see the baby sleeping in the tent while you sit next to the fire roasting marshmallows. I’m not much of a camper, but I do love the ability to keep an eye on the sleeping kids while I am doing any number of things including yard work. The monitor is a little bulky to just carry in your pocket. This hasn’t been a big deal for me, though, because I usually just have it placed next to whatever I am working on to make it convenient to watch and still get things done.
It has a 5.5″ IPS LCD screen and 360 degree tilt and pan features that make placement and usage simple and accessible. The colors come through vibrant and clean in the light, and the night vision is much superior to other cameras that I have used in the past. No snow storms, or fuzzy figures moving around in the dark.
There is a two-way audio for you and your loved one. They can hear you as well as you being able to hear them. My new favorite thing is to talk through my camera and watch the confusion on my twins’ faces when they try to figure our where I am. It’s adorable. Four lullabies are programmed into the unit as well and work as white noise. A special feature can be turned on that has a loud cry alert. This alert turns on an alarm and puts a cute little red-faced baby on your screen to warn you, in addition to all the other safety features, to protect you and your baby. The alarm is not a harsh awful noise either. It’s enough to get your attention, but not give you a heart attack. The same alarm noise also sounds when the battery is low, or the camera is disconnected. The battery life for the monitor is around 18 hours with constant screen, or 24 hours of sound only. The USB cords and bricks are marked so you know which one to plug into which device.
My older boys decided to try to use this setup to play hide and seek. It was a pretty clever idea, and kept them busy for quite a while. However, the camera didn’t seem to feel the same after I got it back. I checked a couple settings, and everything looked alright, but it didn’t act the same. So I found that there is an on off button, and what looked like a reset or pairing button. I turned everything off and pushed some buttons, and when I turned it back on again everything was like new!
Assembly, installation, and setup
This assembly was super easy! There is no need to connect to any networks, wifi, or find specially named anything. All that you need to do is make sure the battery has a charge, or is plugged in, and the units automatically find each other! Set up then became placing the camera where I wanted, and taking the monitor where I needed. I even hooked up the camera to a power brick and was able to place it anywhere instead of being stuck in a fixed location.
Final thoughts
I have had a baby camera with all of my children. I love the peace of mind I can receive by checking the monitor, or waiting for crying alarms to sound. The Jartoo Baby monitor has taken this to a whole new level. I don’t have to wait to put my baby down for a nap to watch the camera. I can hook up the camera to a power source, and place it in the main living quarters and still have eyes on them wherever I am. The monitor is so lightweight and portable with a great battery life. My babies may be 18 months old now, but this camera has saved me more than a few times. I can do the dishes or cook dinner while my kids are outside and still have eyes on what they are getting into. I have told my teenager that I’m going to start using it on her when her friends come over. There are so many great things this Baby monitor can do. I look forward to using it for many years to come.

What I like about the Jartoo baby monitor
- Easiest setup ever
- Ability to move around with camera and monitor
- Very clear picture
- Day and night vision are both highly visible
- Two way communication
- Ability to add more than one camera to the same monitor. Split screen or switch between two cameras
What needs to be improved?
- There is no ability to record the screen, or take screenshots.
- The zoom in is great, but there is no zoom out, or fisheye mode to capture a wider view.
